the short version

Family First.
Everything In-House.

The Good Husbands are a hip hop group from Friday Harbor, Washington — a small island town in the San Juans where everybody knows everybody, because most of them have known each other since grade school.

They do it all themselves. Every beat, every verse, every recording, every mix — in-house, from day one. (Mastering goes to a third party. Some things you leave to the specialists.) No label, no middlemen, no shortcuts. Just a tight circle that learned how to make records the way they learned everything else: together.

What started with a first show at Seattle’s Woodshed Studios in 2011 turned into mixtapes, EPs, and albums — Huz. and Garage Sale — and millions of streams, all without leaving the circle. Shared bills with Blue Scholars, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Nappy Roots, Zion I and more along the way.

“Make good music and represent the Pacific Northwest to the fullest.”
